Abuela Teresa Rivas, a revered elder, ceremonial guide, and long-time supporter of the Wixárika (Huichol) spiritual tradition. For over 35 years, Abuela Teresa has walked alongside Marakame—spiritual healers of the Wixárika Nation—carrying sacred offerings, prayers, and deep ancestral knowledge rooted in the medicine of Hikuri (Peyote).

She is the traditional carrier and protector of the sacred teonanacatl “Ninos Santos” of Mexico. She is also to know how to call rain and is very dear to many communities in Mexico. She is a guardian of ancestral wisdom and the founder of AMITA Center of Cultural and Indigenous Medicine and teaching of alternative medicines and founder of her own system of healing. She has taught over 10,000 students around the world.

TIBETAN BUDDHIST MONK

Lama Tashi Norbu is a Tibetan contemporary artist, cultural ambassador, and Buddhist monk whose work bridges traditional Tibetan art and modern Western styles. Trained in classical thangka painting in monasteries and later in European art academies, he is known for his powerful live performances—painting while chanting Tibetan mantras, often accompanied by a fusion of traditional and modern music. His work serves as a vehicle for spiritual expression, cultural preservation, and global connection.

He is the founder of the Museum of Contemporary Tibetan Art in Emmen, Netherlands—the first and only registered Tibetan art museum outside Tibet—and the Museum of Tibetan Art and Culture, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in the U.S. devoted to cultural education, artistic exchange, and community healing.
